By Train:

If you book a seat on NoSA’s dedicated train, the conference begins onboard. Once you arrive, it’s easy to get to your accommodation by taxi, bus, or on foot if you’re staying centrally.
By Car:

By Air:
The nearest airports are Åre Östersund Airport (about a 1.5-hour drive) or Trondheim Værnes in Norway (about 2 hours). If you choose to fly, we recommend purchasing biofuel through flygreenfund.se; it reduces domestic flight carbon emissions.
Getting Around in Åre:
Ski buses run between Duved, Åre, and Björnen and are free when you show your lift pass. Regional buses also run through the Åre valley, approximately every hour during the day. Tickets can be easily purchased via the Länstrafiken app.
Åre offers a wide range of accommodations, whether you prefer to stay centrally within walking distance of most amenities or in nearby areas such as Duved, Tegefjäll, Björnen, or Undersåker.
Tip: Many hotels have already been booked by the teams participating in the world cup race, so consider looking for apartments or accommodations slightly outside Åre for better availability during this period.
Hotels:
For those seeking comfort and service, hotels are an excellent choice. Options include Holiday Club Åre, Fjällgården, Hotel Granen, and Hotel Åregården, all centrally located near the slopes. Copperhill Mountain Lodge is located in Björnen close to the slopes, Karolinen in Björnänge offers both hotel rooms and apartments while Åre Fjällsätra, a cozy mountain hotel, lies 15 kilometers to the east in Undersåker.
Apartments and Cabins:
If you’re traveling with a group, apartments and cabins of various sizes are available both in central Åre and surrounding areas. Lodging providers like Skistar, AGO in Åre, and Åre Travel offer self-catering options. You can also find a variety of accommodations through Airbnb.
Hostels and B&Bs:
For a more budget-friendly stay, options include Åre Torg Hotel and Åre B&B in Åre. In Duved, 10 km west of Åre, you’ll find the charming Pensionat Mullfjället, with a bus stop right outside the door.
SKI RENTALS AND WINTER CLOTHES
Åre offers many options for renting ski equipment, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced skier.
Skistar Shops provide ski rentals at both the slopes and in the village. You can book equipment online in advance for a smooth pickup.
Hanson i Åre is a well-stocked store and rental shop conveniently located in the village center.
Tip: Whichever shop you choose, it’s a good idea to book ski equipment in advance, especially during peak season, to ensure the right size and model.
Rent clothes or buy second-hand
To fully enjoy the winter and stay warm in the slopes or as a spectator at the race, it’s essential to dress warmly—temperatures in Åre can drop to -20°C. If you don’t have suitable clothing, you don’t have to to buy new. In Åre you can find companies with a circular business model like Outdoor Buddies where you can rent a full winter wardrobe, and Mountain Recycle that sell high-quality second-hand sports and outdoor clothes and gear.
