ABOUT NORDIC SUSTAINABILITY ARENA

The climate-related changes taking place in our snowy regions and ski resorts are a stark reminder of what we stand to lose. Time is running out, but we still have a chance to change the climate trajectory. Let’s seize that chance together.

On March 7-8, 2025, during the Alpine World Cup, the Nordic Sustainability Arena (NoSA), a meeting place for white winters, will make its debut in Åre, Sweden. We are gathering business leaders, scientists, politicians, and the world of winter sports to discuss and promote solutions that keep us within the planetary boundaries. We will leverage the power of winter sports and the global platform of the event to create new initiatives that accelerate the climate transition.

SCIENCE-BASED FOUNDATION

Our focus will be on how the mobility, food systems, legal responsibility, and financing of the future can be changed or harnessed as tools to help us respond to climate challenges. We will be inspired by elite athletes whose constant performance evaluation and adjustment remind us that we need to adapt our strategies for successful transformation. We operate from a scientific foundation, committed to achieving the global sustainable development goals within the planetary boundaries.

SKIING AND MUSIC

We believe that change requires both gravity and energy. In addition to intense discussions and workshops, participants will be able to ski with some of the world’s top athletes, explore innovative exhibitions, and enjoy dinners and après-ski with climate scientists and musicians. All of this will take place amidst the excitement of the Women’s World Cup races.

JOINING FORCES TO IDENTIFY NEW INITIATIVES

We invite those in leadership roles within companies or organizations, who can and want to make a difference. Change requires more than words—it demands courage and action. The Nordic Sustainability Arena is needed, and so are you.

We look forward to welcoming you to Åre!
